WANTED - CLUB GENERAL MANAGER, BATH CITY FC

JOB TITLE:              CLUB GENERAL MANAGER  
 
REPORTS TO:         CHAIRMAN AND BOARD
 
JOB PURPOSE:
 
To be one of the key people at the “hub” of Bath City Football Club as it transitions into one of the leading community owned Clubs in the UK. You will be the “go to” person for the day to day, smooth running of the Club, overseeing most commercial elements of the Club, and running the operation of the Stadium during the week and on matchdays. 
                       
We need you to be proactive, meeting and networking with people and business in and around Bath, creating a positive impression of the “new” community Club at the heart of Twerton and the wider City.
                       
We expect you to help develop a successful non-matchday business by growing awareness of what we have to offer, and increasing sales, revenue and profitability.
                       
You’ll also be able to ensure the infrastructure, health and safety, and facilities of Bath City FC (and any additional facilities brought on site from time to time) are fit for purpose and regulatory compliant.
                       
An ability to run, or at least plan and oversee, the events we host at the ground will be another task we want to excite and enthuse you!
                       
And do all this in a structured and professional manner, communicating with staff and agencies/customers in a courteous and efficient way, so that matchdays and events run as successfully as possible!
                                                
(all the above to be achieved with assistance from the casual staff, volunteers and Working Groups).
 
DIRECT REPORTS: casuals plus volunteer helpers
 

MAIN DUTIES:
 
1. Creating and managing the matchday and weekday rotas for casual and voluntary staff members at the Club, ensuring team members know their roles and responsibilities and who to contact if there is an issue. 
 
2. Lead the sales and marketing focus for non-matchday events/activities hosted at the club to grow revenue and profitability.
 
3. Help improve the Food & Beverage offer, effectiveness and profitability, for both events and matchdays, tapping into the contacts and knowledge of the any relevant Working Group members.     
 
4. Working with the Board and Commercial Manager and relevant volunteers, to co-ordinate, brief, lead and motivate the casual staff, especially on with matchday hospitality. 
 
5. Help ensure matchdays/key events have a consistently high level of   satisfaction from supporters, players, non-playing staff and key sponsors/partners.
 
6. Manage the matchday briefing document, which should act as the agenda for matchday planning meetings, ensuring the draft is issued prior to the meetings/games.
 
7. Answering/dealing with phone calls & emails relating to Club activities, matchdays and events, organising the taking/logging of deliveries for the Clubhouse where necessary.
 
8. Working with key volunteers, help with the preparation and effective delivery of any minimum standards documents/information required by the League.
 
9. Alongside the Operations Working Group, ensure routine and preventative maintenance programmes are followed making sure that all facilities are maintained to agreed standards and within budgets.  And that the stadium operates within the terms of the Stadium General Safety Certificate, Health and Safety at Work Legislation and the Stadium Health and Safety policies.

10.  To comply at all times with the Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices in accordance with current legislation and as detailed in the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.
 
11. Plus any other duties that may reasonably be required by Management.
